    Fyrinnae haul

I’m getting my sister into makeup (bigtime!) — here are some photos of her Fyrinnae haul! We picked up a couple pigments to turn into multi-use balms with a touch of Vaseline, as pretty much everything “normal” irritates her skin. Photos of those tomorrow!

Koala was the sample colour, and it’s a gorgeous lavender-taupe that looks insanely different as a wash of colour on different skintones. I have zero complaints for the whole order… wrapped up carefully, all gorgeous, and all very pigmented! I <3>

The cute new domed sample jars!

    The whole haul
    (b) -> glow blush. The others are both eye/lip/cheek-safe eye pigments.

Swatches, both labelled and unlabelled, as you guys seem to prefer that! I
t’s not much harder for me, so I’m all too eager to comply.

Also: we turned Mesmerise, Melty, Enrapture and Kabuki into cream blushes/lip glosses. Check out photos and swatches here!

    Senna heads-up

You know that Senna Envelope we talked about a couple months back? Yah, it’s on sale for $50!!

Snatch it up if you have the cash, ladies. I recommended this at its normal $100 price tag, so this is definitely a fantastic deal!

For those of you that don’t remember: there are four different Envelopes that you can buy — Glamour, Pastels, Brights, and Neutrals — that contain 16 shadows, 6 blushers, and two pressed powder products each. Basically, it’s just over $2 a pan. The shadows are the same size as MAC, and there’s a little ledge-like thing so you can move them from palette to palette easily, but I would probably say that I prefer a lot of the Senna shadows over MAC! They’re stunning quality and crazily pigmented.

Anyhow. Just thought I would let you know. And if anyone would be interested in splitting a palette, please send me an email! I know this is a long shot, but I really don’t need more cheek shades or pressed powders. I do really want the Brights or Neutrals shadows, though!

    How-to: Audio tag

FB had a couple of questions about the tag, so here are a few more details!

I’m working on a PC right now, and if I go to “Accessories” in the start menu and then to “Entertainment,” there’s something called the “sound recorder“. It’s very basic, but definitely serves its purpose for stuff like this! You can tape over yourself and it can be as long as you need, but doesn’t have any snazzy functions that I know of. It wasn’t downloaded or added on — though I just found it a week or two ago, it came with the computer!!

(A lot of cell phones and such have recording functions as well — record a “sound note” or whatever they’re calling themselves nowadays, then upload to your computer as you would something like a photo.)

As for the microphone, I have this one (below). I really, really like it, but I’m sure you can get cheaper ones! This one in particular is bendy, and can be plugged into its base and left on a table or plugged into a laptop and used directly.
Lastly: uploading! I used drop.io (which I adore) and pasted the “embed” code into the “edit HTML” blogger tab. When you upload the file, you don’t have to do anything special to it before uploading (thank goodness). I love how drop is a) simple and streamlined, and b) free!

Hope that helps — I would really love to hear you guys’ voices! :)

Rae, get off of Etsy and write your chem lab.

I tried out the “local search” function, so everything is made in Alberta, Canada! Keepin’ it local.

PS I Love You, by goldspun.

    Super-nifty Butterfly Brooch by mitallo.

Summer Romance, by hotrocksglassjewels. I would never wear it, but it’s so interesting!

    Special Delivery, by noela.
(The envelope can open and close, and the note comes out! So cute.)

Oh, bridal items! So gorgeous. Headband and necklace both by lottiedadesigns.

That’s all for now =) Hope you’re having a great weekend!
