    Where can I find this??

    I can’t find these anywhere.

I’m looking for a sample/decant of Pear and Grapefruit; can anyone swap me for one?? I can’t find a sample online, on MUA, through Google, or on Ebay. And I don’t want to buy without smelling first, because I have a tendancy to hate everything I smell x.x

Or, does anyone know a site where I can buy a sample? Please help me!!

    Mirrors and photographs

When buying a mirror, smaller is cheaper – I bought four 30x30cm mirrors for $9.99 at IKEA (online here), and staggered them. Then, I used them as a backing/frame for photos I had printed at WalMart and London Drugs for really decent prices (If I bought a frame for each, it would have probably totalled around $50-$150, depending on the frame). If you’re doing a photo collage, buy as few frames as possible, or take an hour to mat them yourself!
Also, use what you know: I’m decent with photography and photoshop, so instead of spending a bunch of cash on these photos, I took them on our mountain, photoshopped them, and printed them out. Buying prints can cost anywhere from $5-$50 per print, in general, and there are ten here!

Lastly, take advantage of your budding artist friends. You can sort-of see in this photo are two sketches/paintings at the end. the little one is a brilliant artist, and I hooked her into giving me one of her old sketches (which she was going to throw out) a few years ago. For Christmas that year, she painted them, and I bought frames and put them up. (Frames: $10/each, with a 40% off one item coupon from Michael’s. I bought one the first week and one the second, saving $8 – almost enough for the mirrors, lol!)

    Sorry, sorry!

So much to do. Ugh. All I read today was FB and my emails. (Also, my MUA mail! I’m doing my first swap! Excited!!!)

I promise to post when I have time, but that could be anywhere from now ’till the weekend. If I don’t have a chance to post, though, I promise to keep up regular posting with backlog posts :)

    Yay for scheduled posts!

So I just scheduled a Friday post for y’all, yesterday! (I mentioned on Thurs I was super busy) Wrote it a few weeks back, left it in drafts, and simply changed the time stamp! Very handy stuff. I mean, I get that it’s Friday, but now it’s like 8:00 and most people are now out having fun.

Erm. It makes sense in my head.

I have my own private little Post Secret for Sunday – I’ll post it up with an explanation. Aren’t you soooo excited, lol?

Soft as a baby’s bottom. Only, not.

My temporary dry skin solution (temporary, because I know it’s not nearly moisturising enough for winter, or maybe even summer, weather.): London Drugs Fragrance Free Hypoallergenic Baby Oil.

What it says on the back of the bottle: Our Baby Oil provides all-over skin conditioning for babies and adults. Smooth on after bathing to soften, restore moisture, and prevent dryness and flaking. (*note: I find that this makes my skin too oily. See below.) Perfect for removing eye make-up, and replenishing the skin after sun exposure.

Ingredients: Paraffinium Liquidum. Just one simple ingredient, no smells or fragrances!!

Application: In the shower, after soaping. I put it into a travel-sized pump bottle, and I just pump it into my hand and slather all over. Because it’s oil, it won’t wash off when I rinse my hair, and just the right amount is left on – I towel dry, don’t moisturise, and there’s enough left on my skin to keep it hydrated, but not greasy.

Cost: Under $5 for 600mL! Ah, don’t you just love it when you can use something cheap in place of something more expensive? Lol!!

I wish: It was a gel, because the I bet it could be applied post-shower a lot more easily, and a lot less greasily.

Great for: Everyone but me! I love how there is no scent, and how it makes my shower routine a bunch shorter, but I know that with my dry skin, this will not last me through the winter. So, once I run out, I will not be rebuying – but if you’re a hurried woman, or man, on a budget, with normal skin, this is a great solution.

    Erk!

AWOL for a while, swamped with work and very hungry! I think I forgot to take time for dinner, again.
I won’t be gone for too long – if I’m gone any longer than Saturday, I’ll let you know. Promise!

    See you Saturday :)

    Random "sale" clothing porn!

Okay, okay, I know I promised a real post, but I feel like shit still, so I deserve to be excused! I got bored and ended up sifting through the sale selections of a bunch of online stores – sale is basically the exaggeration of the year, so you can basically only buy most of this stuff if you’re the rare breed of wealthy housewife that loves a deal. (I’ve never seen one, but I’ve heard they exist! :P )

If you are one of these elusive creatures, I’ve linked to the selling page for each in the text below each photo!

Francesco Biasia ‘Ruth’ Soft Satchel – on sale for $270 from $480. A great deal, but still so pricy! It’s gorgeous, though – if I could afford it, I would totally rock that bag.

Stella McCartney Patent Messenger bag, on sale for $550 from (wait for it, wait for it…) $1000!! Once again, I think this would look awesome on my arm, and can totally see it as a buisness bag with an edge.

If they had my size in this BCBGMAXAZARI Embroidered Tulle dress, I would snap it up for the sale price of $180 (from $360) – it’s a lot more than I usually spend, but I’d wear it for grad in a hearbeat! (I have classmates that blew over $600 for their grade nine grad dresses and accessories. Holy. Shit.!)
This adorable Betsy Johnson “Rhondelle” necklace was just too cute not to post! $54 from $110 here. I wish it was symmetrical, though…
    Now
this is a hot tote at a great price – Bloomingdale’s Leather Tote, a true steal at $80, from $200!! If I bought leather, I would buy this. In black and red. I don’t buy leather*, but… can we make an exception?

*I’m not crazy-ass vegan or anything. I tried doing the no-meat thing and ended up anaemic again, lol! I just don’t like to endorse animal cruelty if I can find an alternative that’s non-animal. For instance, I’ll try to hunt down the perfect cruelty-free facewash, but if I can’t find one, I’ll just use a ‘normal’ one.

Okay, so the model wearing David Meister’s Off the Shoulder Matte Jersey dress looks awkward as hell, but this is a really cute $170! (From $290)

The best for last! I love love love this Rickie Freeman for Teri Jon Envelope dress, and once again I’d totally buy it for $141 and wear it to grad, if they had my size. Actually, I’d buy it for that price and just keep wearing it over and over again, because it’s so damn gorgeous! (I would even lust after it for it’s original $300 price tag. That’s how much I love it.)
WAIT. They do have my size. *desperately wants it*

    What I’m watching

There are some things that are to be watched like religion. In…six minutes, Desperate Housewives‘ 2hr finale MUST BE WATCHED!

Also, I watch Grey’s Anatomy (I loved last week’s ep. <3 style="font-weight: bold;">Gossip Girl (like crack. Lovelovelove.), Supernatural (Jensen Ackles, I know you’re like, double my age, but you’re really, really amazing.)… also, Chuck, Pushing Daisies, and Private Practice. (Though none of those are currently on, damn writer’s strike! But they are, still, good!)

Three minutes ’till Desperate. I must go commandeer the family room TV for optimal viewing!
