The product: Vixen Creations Mustang Silicone Dildo in Tie Bright
Back in 2015, I had the pleasure of introducing you to one of my favourite things ever: the Vixen Mustang. Now, three years on, my Fluor-A-Pink Mustang remains one of my can’t-live-without-it sex toys–but it’s gotten even better.
Shortly after my review, Vixen Creations updated the Mustang line to include suction cup bases rather than flat bases, but the dildo itself remains unchanged.
Why I love the Vixen Mustang
Every body is different, but the Mustang is the ideal size for mine (and many others). It’s 6-½” in length by 1-5/8″ wide, and has a dual-density build. Its inner core is made from a firmer silicone while its outer coating is extremely soft and squishy, making it feel smaller and more forgiving than your typical 1-5/8″ insertable toy.
The Mustang’s gentle curve and extra-defined head make it great for G-spotting (and A-spotting), and for many, it’s a great introductory squirting toy. The updated suction cup base feels, to me, easier to hold, and it still allows for harness use while also giving you the option of a suction cup. (You’ll need a smooth surface to use it, but a mirror, tile surface, or particularly shiny wall will work just fine.)

The Vixen Creations Mustang vs. Maverick vs. Tex
The Mustang is my favourite Vixen toy, but I was asked recently to include a comparison with the Maverick and Tex. All four of these dildos feature Vixen’s signature VixSkin (which really is the best), in varying sizes.
The Vixen Maverick is quite hefty at 7″ long by 2″ wide, and also comes in Tie Bright (if purchased through the Vixen Creations site). The Vixen Tex is much smaller–smaller even than the Mustang–and only comes in flesh tones. It measures 5-¼” in length by 1-9/16″ across.
My favourite of these four is the Mustang in Fluor-A-Pink (I thought I’d like the tie-dye a lot more than I do in real life), but I definitely do prefer the suction cup base. For the “flesh tones,” I find Caramel to be the most satisfying of the three: it is the least vibrant in real life, which I find looks the most realistic.
The Vixen Mustang verdict?
Again: This is one of my favourite things in the world, and it’s even better in its updated, suction-cup-having form. The squishiness of the Mustang makes it feel incredibly realistic, and its build makes it great for both solo and harness use.
The Vixen Creation Mustang comes in three “flesh tones” (Vanilla, Caramel, and Chocolate), three fluorescent shades (I love the pink, but Vixen is offering it in green and orange again), and two mixed shades: Tie Bright and Midnight Pearl. It has always been a definite indulgence for me, but with its updated base, it is even moreso.
Availability: $114 USD at Vixen Creations (who kindly sent this in for review), $99.99 USD at SheVibe, and $138 CAD at Come As You Are. Permanent.
Note! The silicone of the Vixen line is susceptible to warping due to its soft texture. Make sure you store your Vixen Creations upright or (ideally) in the cases that they ship in.
