Oh but you really really need to do :) That blush is awesome I have the color glisten and I am in love with it! I wish Tarte was accesible here.. By the way, does your silicone-free diet include blushes?
I'm confused – according to Tarte's site, they don't ship to Canada. If you were planning to order from them, how would you get the package? I thought you were a Canadian beauty blogger, and I subscribe to your RSS feed to find out about stuff that– as a Canadian– I can actually have access to.
Well, my mom and I are about to place our orders. I am a HUGE fan of their blushes (like almost to the point of cult following), but I haven't branched out from there…
I'd probably just order it to a relative's house, and have them send it up for me, Marelle. Sorry for the confusion! Most of our readers are actually in the US, so I like to keep the content relevant for everyone — CanCon, but mixed with some US posts, too :)
Nope, it focuses mainly on skincare and base products. I do try to keep from wearing really silicone-y blushers on a regular basis, though! (Usually a few days is OK with my skin if it's just on the cheeks, but I try to keep it from becoming a daily thing just in case.)
Hey, now's the perfect time! ;) Have fun with your orders, hon!
I wish I could order. Tarte needs to start shipping to Canada! They would get so many orders… especially with this amazing sale!!!
I'm like you…I keep trying to tell myself I don't NEED another blush…but I have never tried theirs, and I really want exposed! I'm not sure if I'll be able to talk myself out of it.
I know! I'm always confused by (read: irritated with) US companies that won't ship to Canada. We're right here, you guys!
I wish I had a "let me love you" gif to throw into this comment :P
It looks like such a pretty neutral blush, Jennifer! You have to get it so I can live vicariously through you :p
I'm with you on the Amazonian Clay blush in Exposed–I have been going back and forth on that particular one for a LONG time (since Jen @ From Head to Toe declared it her new favorite, everyday blush. We have similar skintones so I keep thinking that if I get it, I will magically look just like her :P). I swatched it in-stores and was a little put off by the texture (it seemed really kinda dry and when i applied it to my hand, the color went on really patchy…). But for $18, it would be crazy not to get it!

so sad that the primer trio is sold out, so i just bought the full size one :D
I asked you this because Christine (aka Temptalia) guided me to you to ask you about silicone diet :) I once asked her about her dimethicone problem, I believe I have the same reaction but I think it comes from makeup rather than skincare. I am mostly suspected on blushes because most of my black/whitehead problems are focused on my blush line…
Ah! Nice to "meet" you, then, Casey :) You might find the silicone-free and silicone-free lists tags helpful on theNotice, though (I should warn,) I don't tend focus on blushes.
If you're up to it, I'd recommend forgoing all cheek products with 'cones and 'xanes in them (for at least 3 weeks!) to see how your skin fares — it'll help you determine whether it's your blushers, or if it's caused by something else & just happens to show up on your cheeks.
(If you don't have any silicone-free blushes, loose mineral ones are almost always safe to use. A handful of samples from an e-tailer (eg. Fyrinnae, Alima Pure, Silk Naturals) should get you through a few weeks without a hitch, and at under $10 :))
Hope that helps!
Oh my gosh, she is so cute, isn't she? :) I'd want to magically look like her, too!
Not sure if you find the same thing, but some of my favourite blushers swatch a bit patchy — you use so much more product in a swatch (when it comes to blushers) that they're not always the best depiction of the product itself, you know? Sometimes even the super-dry blushes go on really well when they're on your cheeks ;)
Ha! Atta girl — way to think like a makeup junkie :p
Oh god, I've succumbed. Looking forward to trying their setting powder…
Yes yes I read the tags and noticed you are mostly focused on skincare rather than make up :) You are right I will give myself a tutorial without blush and watch the reaction I throw away some cheap or very old blushes of mine now I just use baked blushes but I will stop that too to see the reaction. I hope I react to so I can continue to use my blushes :))))
*evil laughter* :P
I'm going to finally try the Amazonian Clay blush in Tipsy, and I'm still on the fence about Natural Beauty. I also have my eye on the lip tint in Spirited. And I need a new black gel liner because my Stila smudge pot dried up, so I'll pick one of those up too.
But really, the only one I can justify is the eyeliner. :S
