World Water Day isn’t something that I’ve noticed in past, but it is absolutely on the forefront of my mind this year. Thanks to Biotherm (and Armani… more on that later today), I’ve read some really interesting material this past week, and it’s been quite an eye-opener.
For those of you who don’t know (I didn’t!), World Water Day was created by the UN to raise awareness about the increasing demand for freshwater — and, of course, promote environmentally responsible water use.

Like other skincare companies, Biotherm’s #1 raw material is water. So, for World Water Day this year, they’ve created a really interesting campaign: The Bottle a Day Challenge.
The challenge asks consumers to fill a bottle with water (the super-cool glass bottle photographed here holds 500ml) and use only this amount for their nighttime beauty routine — washing up, cleansing your face, brushing your teeth, etc.
I apologize for not being able to find the time to write up this post earlier in the week, but all told, I don’t think it makes too much of a difference — after all, the challenge isn’t any less poignent now that the week is over, and I still urge you to give it a try.
Could you get through your nightly skincare routine with just 500ml of water? I would love to read about your experience with the challenge.
Feel free to tweet me at @theNotice to share your thoughts on the challenge (@BiothermCanada suggests using the hashtag #BottleaDay), or let me know how it went for you in the comments!
