Transitioning red lips into the spring

Speaking of red lips… I really wanted to make a wearable red out of one of my favourite red lipsticks, Annabelle‘s “Adrenaline” Rouge Velours. Something a little more sheer, a little more “fresh,” and a little more muted.

The catch: I am a lazy ass. (Yah, we don’t beat around the bush on theNotice.)

But it’s alright! Why? The answer is simple — lip products can be mixed, something that I definitely encourage. And we’re not just talking about mixing up your gloss/lipstick combinations — oh no. I’m talking about literally mushing ’em together in a little jar.

You know… something like this:

Used: Annabelle Adrenaline (lipstick,) Annabelle Chococholic (gloss stick,) and CoverGirl Happy Hour (gloss).
(Holy man is that CoverGirl review ever old! I’m so glad we figured out the whole photo-taking thing eventually.)

Anyhow. I realize that you would probably kill me if I didn’t share some swatches, so…

Mai hand. You like?
A thin swatch
A little thicker
And thicker still!!

Now, go! play with your lip products and get your bum off that computer chair. (Which better be ergonomically correct… if it isn’t, I’m hunting you down and getting you some lumbar support!)
