This Valentine’s Day, LUSH Cosmetics has paired up with All Out to challenge homophobic laws and attitudes worldwide. On February 14th, LUSH will be handing in photo petition books to show just how many people think love is an essential human right, and challenge the violence and homophobia currently being allowed and perpetrated by the Russian government.
Now, I personally don’t think you can convince that many homophobic politicians to change their mind with a flip-book of photos, but I’m proud to add my pink triangle to this campaign. Sometimes, knowing that you have people on your side, fighting for you, can make all the difference — and I hope the LGBTQ population in Russia (and around the world) will be able to feel the love from our tweets, posts, and ‘grams.
To show off your LGBTQ support alongside your fellow LUSHies, snap a photo of yourself wearing the pink triangle symbol anywhere on your body–hands are a popular choice for the photo-shy–and upload it to social media with the hashtag #signoflove. Learn more at lush.ca/signoflove.
