(The images below are clickable, but I’m afraid the text is not. My apologies; hopefully I’ll have a bit more time for image mapping in the weeks to come!)
Full disclosure: I am way too busy right now to compile a complete list of this year’s Black Friday beauty deals. (Oh, wouldn’t it be nice to blog full-time!) That said, though, the sales offered by two of the most prominent beauty retailers really stuck out for me, so I thought I’d give them a shout-out.
$10 Beauty Deals at Sephora, online & in stores
I’m sorry, what was that? Also available in Canada, you said?
That’s right – many of this year’s Black Friday sets at Sephora.com extend to Sephora.ca, too. They’re $12 instead of $10, but hey, it’s no less exciting! There’s a bit of everything in there, and even if you don’t need anything for yourself, a lot of them would make fantastic stocking stuffers. (I’m thinking hard about those rollerball trios, but I should probably hold back on fragrance purchases for at least a couple
Buy-two-get-one nail lacquers at Nordstrom, PLUS free shipping on all orders!
Here’s one for the nail addicts, on Butter London, Deborah Lippman, THE NEW BLACK, and Nordstrom-brand varnishes. As usual, the free polish must be equal-or-lesser-value from the same brand, and are restricted to the American mainland, etc etc etc.) These brands almost never go on sale in Canada (hey, did you know that Indigo is now carrying butterLONDON? Weird, but awesome.), so take advantage if you can.
Now’s a great time to stock up on THE NEW BLACK ombré sets, Lippmann glitters, or Butter London, um, everything!
Happy shopping, beautiful.
I would keyboard smash this first one, but I think the grammar nymphs might just eat me, so I’ll refrain. (For now.)
This week’s “don’t miss” deal is definitely the LITTLELUX promo at Sephora — 14 samples plus a free bag at checkout, with purchases $35+ (in Canada) or $25+ (in the US). I’m not really into makeup bags, so deals like this usually slip right under my radar, but: dude. Have you seen these bags; they are adorable.
Or, I mean, I guess “adorable” isn’t the best way to put it. But they’re definitely awesome; there’s no denying that one.
Next up is the Clinique Black Friday Survival Kit, which is (admittedly) also pretty exciting, but sort of pales in comparison to the designer makeup bags at Sephora.
But, that aside: use the code KIT for a free “survival kit” at the Clinique US site with purchases over $30. It’s not fourteen samples, sure, but I’d pick a GWP lipgloss over a bunch of paper samples anyday!
And perhaps I’m biased, because I’m working my way through a Clinique All About Eyes GWP roll-on (like the one in the set), and (a) I kind of love it, but more importantly, (b) good lord it is never ending. Seriously, I thought mine would be gone in a week, but it has been months. I’m starting to think the serum’s reproducing in there or something equally terrifying.
Just a quick heads-up that Sephora’s annual 20% off sale is now live, but with a few alterations from previous years! From now until the 12th, [ETA: American] VIBs will be able to use the code CELEBRATE for their online discount. To get the same deal in-store, you’ll need to bring in a hard copy of the event — there should be an email in your inbox for it, or you should have received a card recently in the mail.
(Ah, snail mail. How I love thee.)
But what about the BIs?
If you missed out on the F&F sale this year (which was a literal friends-and-family-only event), Beauty Insiders can still take part in the holiday festivities — and if you’re not spending a lot, it might just be a better deal! With any order over $25, use the code ITKIT for a free nine-piece sample kit, of your choice.
(The selections are pretty cool, but the quantities are limited. Stop reading theNotice and get over there now!)
Happy shopping! Hope you’re all safe & warm indoors this week.
The worst thing about the best of deals? Too often, they’re US-only… like this butter LONDON buy-one-get-one-free today at Ulta. I can’t indulge in this deal, but I thought I’d share it with you lot all the same!
(And the answer is yes: they do have the AW12 collection, including Dodgy Barnett and Trustafarian. Any of you Americans who couldn’t decide between the two will no longer have to!)
My internet’s been weird and patchy all weekend, but I’ll try to get a proper post up tonight or tomorrow morning. I’m thinking LUSH Emotional Brilliance to make up for the recent lack of posts ;)
