Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips review

The products: Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Matte Revolution Lipstick in Tell Laura, Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Kiss ‘n’ Tell

Alright, so firstly: I still haven’t found it in my heart to swatch these two gorgeous products. I will get to it eventually, but I look absolutely terrible in orange-based tones, so it’s been really hard for me to motivate myself to ruin the perfect finishes! To see what it looks like on a (truly) wide range of faces, check out its Charlotte Tilbury product page.

Secondly? If you’re not following me on Snapchat, go do that now!! I’ll be chronicling my belated birthday plans for all of today (I still haven’t the slightest idea what my partner has planned), and I usually have lots of Tuna photos & puppy videos up there. All in all, it should be a pretty good time.

Alright. I’m off to get this post scheduled and get to bed, so I’ll leave you with these Tilbury photos! Enjoy.

Availability: Hot Lips Lipsticks $32 USD/$38 CAD; Lip Cheat Lip Liner $22 USD/$27 CAD.

I love orange based red and Lady Danger is my favourite! But I get you on not ruining the perfect finishes, that lipstick is gorgeous!

    • Ooh, I bet Lady Danger looks stunning on you!! You totally have the complexion for it ;)

  • Kate & Zena

Such a pretty lipstick….but I hear you on the orange based. I love when they have actual people wearing it….but hate it when they don't have someone who looks like me wearing it. I'm so pale with dark features. =/

On some of the models it almost looks blue-toned. The magic of lipstick. O.O

I will not succumb to Snapchat. I will not…..I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLET! (I've been trying to convince myself of this anyway.)

    • Aww, that's a tough one! I was really happy to see that they had an Asian model with fair skin (a rarity; brands usually assume that Asian people come in exactly one tone: medium-olive), but fair + dark features must be tough, too!

You shoooould! I could totally use more Zena videos in my day. Such a cutie!!

      • Kate & Zena

I'll have to see if I have anymore storage space on my phone for it (she who has lots of games on phone.) :)

I think fair +dark features is tough because "tan" is in. I'm sorry, America, having lupus means I go one shade darker than my all ready pale self or I look like a cooked lobster. I don't believe the "cooked lobster" look is in. I'll stay my UD shade of 1.0 or 1.5.

  • I like orangey reds! And that little lip imprint is so pretty.

    • Ooh, this one would look so good on you!!

I've been trying to find time to swatch this guy & upload photos, but man – I have no idea where the time's been going recently!
