Beauty flashback: Clarins Barocco, Holiday 2010

Thursday, December 6, 2012

I have a not-so-secret weakness for Clarins Holiday collections.

Does anyone else remember the Barocco collection from 2010? Easily my favourite Holiday release in the five years I’ve been blogging (and dear lord, five years?!)

I rarely use the products themselves anymore, but I honestly don’t think I’ll ever be able to give these ones up. From the weighting, to the gorgeous black swirls, to the intricate pattern on the face palette itself… the entire aesthetic is just so beautifully thought-out.

I was reminded of the Barocco collection while photographing this incredible brush set today, but honestly, no one does it quite like Clarins.

Do you have a collection that you go back & reminisce about? Which Holiday release has been your favourite (whether this year or prior)?

  3. This was by far my favorite holiday collection too. That face powder….so gorgeous. Can't believe I forgot to bring that to college with me, something I'll have to rectify over break ;) By the way, do you have the compact from the Odyssey collection? I'm wondering how it compares.

~sigh~ I concur, this is one gorgeous collection! I don't own too many products with fabulous packaging, but lately I've been lemming something with a little glam factor. Here's hoping I'll get my chance soon! :)
