Don’t miss this » A Burberry-inspired Autumn/Winter makeup look

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

One of the Autumn/Winter promos that I love (loved, loved) this year was the one for Burberry’s Autumn/Winter colour collection. I still have yet to give the brand a try, but the aesthetic is just stunning — clean lines and gorgeous, classic shades.

Here’s a quick, easy look based off their fall face. With a focus on warm, diffuse eyeshadow and soft black liner, the tutorial (see the link below) is a snap, and I’ve swatched a few colour substitutes for below (seeing as I didn’t pick up Burberry Mulberry and Dark Sable Sheer Eyeshadows to do the look with.)

Hope you enjoy the look, and here’s to a great autumn!

Read the full tutorial here on She Said Beauty.

You look awesome in this colour palette Rae! I tried so many times to pull this off, but every single time I looked like I got punched in the eyes. :(

You on the other hand look AMAZING.

  5. Thank you, darling!! It's all in the undereye concealer. (And the brows. Er, and the liner.) Without those, I look like I've been punched in the eyes a few times, too! :p

  6. Thank you, m! I'm really glad to hear you liked the look, and–more importantly–that you can get inspiration from the looks on theNotice :)

I'm the same as Geekz. Those colors will make me look like I was socked in the eye.

  11. WHISK ME AWAY FOR A MOONLIT WEDDING, WANDS!

(Maybe it's a skintone thing. Sometimes I feel like my face is less of a colour and more of a… greenish canvas of canvasness.)

  12. WHERE DID YOU GET THE EYESHADOW QUAD?!?!?!?

  13. Oh, wow, that's some pretty loud makeup desperation.

The quad itself is from Annabelle; the shadows in it are by Senna. As far as I know, most of them are discontinued (sorry) >.<

  14. Gah, I loved this promo, too. The figgy shade! The neutral browns! Cara looked amazing.

I love the way she used Gold Trench along the lower lashes along with the kohl – subtle. This and the Siren Red look (probably not the metallic/cropped trench coats that season, but still…) are probably my two favorite Burberry Prorsum makeup looks, I think!
