LOTD: natural berries
Wednesday, April 27, 2011
I’m partial to a really “nothing” lip look; the kind that looks like… well, like you haven’t anything on your lips at all. This one, a combination of Annabelle Adrenaline and Bobbi Brown Heather Buff, has been a favourite as of late. (See Adrenaline full-force in this look.)
Now – get out there and layer some lip products (then be sure to come back and tell me all about it, y’hear?)

Wow, this really looks like you have nothing on! =D
My recent post Versatile Blogger Award Numbers 2 and 3- Thanks GenkiOriana and eRin!
lovely combo! i NEVER would've guessed adrenaline was so dark.
My recent post Cargo Cosmetics Blush In Tonga Is My New Favourite!
I know – she sheers out a ton into just a gorgeous medium berry. But hey, I'm not complaining! :P
Layering lip products is always something I want to get into, but I always feel so clueless about what colours to blend. Which is a shame, because I've been on a major lipstick spree lately — I even picked up Milani's Copper Kettle specifically to layer with something else, but I have no clue what.
(On an unrelated note, since you're my go-to blog for Annabelle products, I noticed Annabelle's Urban Jungle collection is out. Thoughts on the Zebra Eyeshadows?)
Just guess and check! :P Honestly, the only way you'll get a feel for it is if you just… go for it. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't, but when it does, it makes all the hassle very, very worth it ^^
My favourite layering combinations usually involve one of two things: a sheer lustre (which looks pretty good over just about anything) or lipsticks with mauve-to-lavender undertones (to take the orange out of other shades – especially reds). Give them a whirl to start yourself off? :)
Oh! And as for the Zebra Eyeshadows – haven't seen or tried them yet, sorry! I'm curious about them as well :p
