Amaze-ing

You saw this one yesterday in the Blue Haul.

What is it? A CoverGirl WetSlicks AmazeMint gloss, in Happy Hour (wow, do they ever like to slur their words together or what??) which might seem like just another gimmiky doe-footed drugstore gloss.

However, Happy Hour(alliteration much?!) comes out with tiny bits of (non-disco) glitter, and a mint unlike any other mint gloss I’ve tried. Instead of being minty like a breath mint, it’s minty like the inside of a peppermint chocolate thing – you know, the ones with a chocolate coating around a soft white peppermint layer. And, of course, this wonderful smell (and taste!) is accompanied by a cool tingling, though this*might* be too much for some people.I thought this one would be perfect for me because blue undertones are great for cool-skinned gals (that’s me!) as well as to make your teeth look whiter (um, nice side effect? that I didn’t need.) It went on… well, normally. A little “whiter” than clear gloss, if you ask me.

This photo’s a little washed out, but you get the idea. Gorgeous glossy sheen, no stickiness, and the glitter isn’t overwhelming. It’s there, but not in-your-face… just in a nice, plump-lipped way. And the sheen is just that – a nice glossy sheen, not a sheet of saran wrap over your lips!!Only $6CDN, I believe – what a steal! Definitely check out the AmazeMint WetSlicks the next time you’re at the drugstore or shopping market (I got mine at Superstore, lol!) This one’s probably not the only great one in the batch – bloggers have been raving about these for months! A wonderful gloss at a great price – definitely comparable, if not better, than a lot of high-end glosses.

oooh a blue lipgloss! How interesting, I will definitely check this out the next time I’m at the drugstore. The smell sounds delicious, I actually prefer glosses to be scented.

I've always wanted to try blue glosses! It probably won't do much for my pigmented lips but I have to satisfy my curiosity sometime :P

I know, me too! That's one of the reasons this was so exciting – I really wanted to try a blue gloss, but didn't want to spend a ton on it just in case I hated it. In comes this one, and Rae is a happy camper ^^
