Worth the Hype? Mint Julep Mask

Thursday, April 17, 2008

Queen Helene‘s Mint Julep Mask. Retails for under $5 in most American drugstores and doesn’t exist in Canada.

Amazing price, amazing results. With a weekly application taking a whole ten minutes or so, my pores look smaller and my skin looks flawless. It washes off easily at the sink or in the shower, and though it stings a bit when my skin is sensitive, it’s never caused red patches. As an overnight zit treatment, this gets rid of the worst acne in a few days (you just can’t use it during the day, seeing as it’s a green paste!) Full review here.

The verdict: Worth the hype!

i've wanted to try that for so long, if only they would start selling it in canada…

  2. :( I know, it sucks!Just buy one online and have it shipped up – seriously, the bottle itself is like $5 and is pretty big, especially as it only takes about a half-inch of product to cover my entire t-zone, so it's worth it.Or get a relative to send you a tube – that's what I did, lol!!

I think I'm the only one who doesn't really see any effects of this. :( I use it every once in a while, but I don't really see an improvement in my skin.

  4. Hmm… have you tried using it as a spot treatment?

I use it as a spot treatment from time to time, but I rely on my tea tree oil more. Sadly, most of my breakouts are those hideous ones that take forever to go away, so I worry more about concealer, haha.

  6. I depended on tea tree for quite a while too, though not as heavily anymore (I prefer unscented things, and it most certainly is not!)My breakouts are much the same – I get a pimple or three, not a many, but they're there for months!

Interesting. I've had a tube of this stuff under my bathroom sink for a couple months now, not knowing if I should use it or not. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Queen Helene's Cocoa Butter lotion, but this stuff…not sure about.Anyway, after reading your review, I think I'll give it a try tonight! Thanks!

  8. Hmm. That cocoa butter lotion sounds amazing… I'll have to see if I can find it during the summer!
